Hi, a customer of mine is using the Ascend theme. Most of the time they remember to use a feature image for blog posts, but sometimes they forget. The issue is that the placeholder images that are generated are not loaded over HTTPS. As a result, some browsers report that the site is “not secure” on pages where these placeholder images are loaded.

The page at ‘…’ was loaded over HTTPS, but requested an insecure image ‘
This content should also be served over HTTPS.
`

My questions are:

1. Is there a way to force these placeholder images to load over HTTPS?
2. If not, is there a way to stop using these placeholder images? I mostly see them on the home page and blog list page, when a post does not have a featured image set. I’d prefer to just hide the image entirely instead of loading a placeholder.

I’d prefer number 2 if possible but either option would solve the issue.

Joe
