Hello Ben and Hannah;

I updated the AMP Plugin yesterday to version 1.0.12 and this morning I woke up with unpleasant emails from Google Search Console:
Search Console has identified that your site is affected by 1 AMP issues:

Top Errors

Errors can prevent your page or feature from appearing in Search results. The following errors were found on your site:

The tag ‘link rel=canonical’ appears more than once in the document.

We recommend that you fix these issues when possible to enable the best experience and coverage in Google Search.

After investigating a bit, I figured the issue is that Yoast SEO is adding their own canonical metatags — So not only the canonical tag is a duplicate, but the “title” tag is duplicated as well. The thing is, Yoast is using the correct tags while the AMP plugin is not; so I much rather disable the tags from the AMP Plugin.

How can I disable these tags on the AMP plugin?

Thanks again in advance for all your great help.
