Gutenberg Block “Video Overlay” does not play YouTube Videos anymore

Good evening,
we have discovered that the “Video Overlay” block does not play videos anymore on at least two of our websites:

We have already tried to change the embed URL from “youtube-nocookie.com” to “youtube.com” and also tried to use an URL without query string parameters (“?modestbranding=1” and “&autoplay=1“) but it did not change anything.
As soon as I click at the poster asset, the overlay pop ups, but the screen stays black. And if I press the play button, the following error message appears:
Es ist ein Fehler aufgetreten. Bitte versuche es später noch einmal. (Wiedergabe-ID: eHqoepgGNbR_zqyD)
However, if I open the embed URLs directly within the browser, the videos work fine. See the corresponding URLs from the videos embedded within the two websites mentioned earlier in this post:

These video overlays used to work fine for a long time. Is it possible that an update of either Virtue Theme or Virtue Blocks Plugin has caused this block to break?
