Wish to make hyperlinks snappier when hovered

In the past (with other themes) when I’ve wanted to make hyperlinks respond snappier when hovered, I’d modify the value for ease-in-out in the css; i.e. I’d make that value = zero. Then when hyperlinks are hovered, the hover effect takes place immediately (my preference), not with some delay. How can I accomplish this in the Ascend theme?
