transparent and sticky headers

Hi there
I’m trying to work out how to apply a transparent header to my website, that changes to a sticky header with a solid background on scroll (like your kadencewp.com homepage I think). I’m not sure if its possible. I have a transparent header with an image but when I scroll down I get a transparent background colour. Is there a way to make the background solid once the image has been scrolled past?
