cannot edit certain widgets

I’m having a problem with certain widgets. It started with site origin button widget, and I saw on the site origin thread that some themes ahev problems with the button widget. So I switched to the Shortcodes Ultimate plug in and I’m having the same problem. I can set it up, but when I try to edit the widget I get a blank screen with the date. (image attached)
Now I’m having the same problem with the custom html widget.
I appreciate your help.
