Understanding Shift-Click on block

Hi all,
Ok, I hit something a bit weird that I’m hoping someone can shed some light on.
When I first enter a page to edit in Kadence based theme. If I Click inside a block that has text, I can edit the text freely. However, if at anytime I hit Shift-Click, all blocks are now only selectable, but not editable. The only way I’ve found to be able to edit the text again is to completely reload the page with the browser refresh.
Now that I know what is causing it, I’ll try not to do that, but was curious if it was an intended feature or possibly an issue.
BTW, the reason i do it, is because I have a habit of shift clicking in editors at the beginning and end of text I want to select instead of just using the mouse along to drag to select.
