Custom Archive Page for Posts?

Hi there,
When I go into the Customizer > Homepage Settings and select a custom posts page, I notice that the content that I added to the page gets replaced by my blog posts, but is there a way to have it so that the content I had on gets replaced by the blog posts (see images below). Is there a way to have a custom posts page retain the content that was previously on it without it getting replaced by the posts?
