Split Content issue Allignment

Can anyone help?
Is there a way to align the content section of the split content (in full width mode) block with the main inner container of the site?
I’m working on a site with a which has a mixture of contained and full with rows and I would like the media side of split content block to stretch to the edge of the browser window, but the content side to align with my other contained row elements.
