Unable to sort Kadence Gallery images in backend

Hi everyone,
I am currently unable to sort images in the kadence gallery backend. I am able to click and drag an image when I edit a gallery, but the image won’t slide in between the underlying images. This happens on multiple wordpress/kadence installations and in at least chrome, safari and firefox. This also happens on installations where the function previously worked.
Anybody any ideas?
