Creating gradient colors in theme color palettes

I noticed that Gradients were not a selectable option on backgrounds in Kadence blocks. I know you can work around it with Gradient overlays, but I figure I could achieve the same thing on a background if I were able to create a gradient color in Kadence Theme (Pro) color palette. I do not see a way however to create Gradients in the theme color options. Anyone know how to do this?
