Virtue: image menu item or Gallery with single item links

Hi,
I was wondering if it is possible to do 2 things with the virtue premium theme:
1. Can the Image Menu Item widget be altered so that the Text only appears as a mouse-over-effect?
2. Can you set a link for every item in a virtue gallery so that the user gets directed to a different site for every item?
