Featured Image Setting on Blog Posts Missing?

Hello,
We just noticed a new issue with blog posts, in the editor, in the right hand area where it used to have the setting for ‘Featured Image’ – that setting is now missing. Our first three blog posts are all missing their featured images, and we are unable to re-set them since the ‘Featured Image’ setting is gone. It was there previously.
Is there a setting that maybe got switched off during an update? I was looking under Theme Options-Blog Settings but didn’t see anything obvious.
