The integration of YouTube videos via the Kadence Video Popup Block appears to largely comply with the GDPR rules applicable in the EU, because no tracking and no data transfer to Google servers takes place before a click on the video poster.

Only one small thing is missing for a perfect, data protection-compliant solution: the option to place a text line on the video poster, e.g: “When clicked, this video is loaded from YouTube servers. See our privacy policy for details.”

Directly asked: Is there a clever way to add this text line using the Video Popup Block or (even better), have I convinced you to make this option (…could also be used as an integrated caption etc.) available as soon as possible?

I love Kadence Pro and find it a shame to have to replace the excellent Kadence blocks with other solutions (such as this snippet: There are usually only two typical integrations: Google Maps and Youtube/Vimeo videos. And as I said: With the Video Popup Block, the solution would be PERFECT with a tiny addition!

And by the way: A block similar to the video popup would also be helpful for Google Maps (or for embedding external services in general), in which external content is only loaded after a click and the user can also be informed about this with a corresponding text line.

Regards,
Marcel
