Scrolling section

Hello,
I have long galleries on my pages and I’ve made the section overflow: auto so that the header and logo and menu on the left are still visible while viewing the thumbnails.
I like the way this works and looks. However, my client says they see scrollbars on the side and top (I don’t on my mac on Chrome). I tried some css to remove the bars but it’s not working. How can I make this section scrolling without scrollbars?
Another option I was playing with was to make the header and the logo and menu on the left sticky but I would also need to make the footer sticky.
What’s the best way to achieve this?
