Trouble with copy ‘n paste in the block editor

Am working on a new local site using the Kadence theme along with the Kadence Block plugins.
Problem:
Copy and Paste doesn’t work within the block editor. Can copy an item, (copied notice appears in the bottom corner), but even when the Paste action is available, it will do nothing. (Before my various trials, the Paste action wouldn’t even be available; be grayed out.)
After the following tests have narrowed it down to possibly being the basic Kadence Blocks plugin as the problem source.
• When all plugins are deactivated, then copy ‘n paste works.
• With ONLY the Kadence Block plugin active, the copy action works, but paste does NOT work. (Nothing shows up)
• Have deleted the plugin and reinstalled it and it still doesn’t work.
• It worked before the last update to the Kadence Blocks plugin.
• Have another live site with the Kadence Blocks plugin and it works just fine there.
What settings to look at that might affect the workings of the copy and paste actions to fix this?
