I’ve been working with the Ascend Theme for a few local business websites, and I’m impressed with the layout flexibility and overall responsiveness. That said, I’m looking for insights on how to optimize Ascend for faster performance, especially for:
Pages with custom portfolios or service listings
Integration with contact forms and booking systems
Lightweight but effective homepage sliders or hero images
Are there specific customizer settings, plugin combinations, or CSS/JS tweaks that you’d recommend to improve loading speed without sacrificing design?
One of the projects I’m building is for a website development client in Tallahassee, and they need a balance between a polished look and lean performance.
