I have been trying for days to change colors of two items on my site http://www.lindysdesigns.com. I am using the Virtue Premium Theme.

(1) I am trying to change the font color on the “apply coupon code” button on my site from gray to white to match the other buttons.

(2) I am trying to change the “contact form sent” message border from this bright green to either a neutral color or no border at all.

I did an inspect element to try and find the selector type and have entered it into my CSS style sheet with no luck. I also have gone into the right side of my inspect element pop-up and changed the color but I’m not sure how to get it to stay after doing this – I see the color change on the screen but as soon as I click out of the box it goes away. Any help is greatly appreciated.
