Custom User Profile Photo

I’m working with the “Custom User Profile Photo” (CUPP) plugin here: *Login to see link
In my Virtue Theme Blog Options, I’ve turned on the Author Box, where it shows the default (generated) avatars even if a custom one is set (my the CUPP plugin).
I’m guessing the plugin doesn’t actually modify the user avatar, so was wondering if there’s a way to get Virtue to use the custom author profile pictures.
