Best eMail Newsletter/Distribution System

Hi guys,
This might be off-topic a little, but I have so much respect for your experience. Do you have a recommendation for email newsletters?
We are leaning toward using MailPoet and SendGrid to manage newsletters, subscribers, getting users to sign up and sending. The newsletter templates with the free version of MailPoet are very basic — pretty crude, and I don’t know if Pro ones are better.
Anyway — do you have any favorite for newsletter and email distribution?
