draft post not updating

I am writing a post and when I “save draft” and then look at either the “preview” or the “view post” it does not show the changes – for example, text I have added or edited, images I have added. I am using Page Builder with Visual Editor widgets and Virtue Image widgets.
I tried “publishing” the post and then the changes show up. However I don’t want to have a draft post “published” and how else can I work on it and check that everything is ok before publishing – unless I use the “draft” “preview”?
