how do I make my blog / site look as awesome as the demo?? well thats my question

I just activated the theme over the blog which is already full of content, (was previously on the Thesis theme) and things aren’t showing up quite as I had expected.
Such as the images in posts don’t display through the blog summery page.
the blog summery page on the other hand, I am working on getting a link to as since I put a static page as the home I cant seem to get to the post page…

and I want a home page like the demo 1

thanks for suffering the newbie, I am fiddling with the menus at the moment and getting better acquainted with WordPress
