Home Page (Static Page not working)

Hi.
1) I have created a page, called “home”.
2) I’ve set the front page displays to this static page in Settings>Reading, and saved.
3) When I refreshed, nothing changed.
4) I’ve tried using other pages i’ve created just to test it as the main/index/front page. No pages get displayed as the index/home/front page.
PS:
a) This “home” page, or any other page, can be viewed properly when it is NOT set in Point 2 above.
Pls help.
