selector troubles in Pinnacle child theme

Using dashboard/appearance/editor
On the home page, I’m trying to NOT display the page title. And I’m trying TO display the content which I have put in the page editor. Not successful with either effort.
I can make the page header go away if I don’t specify which page, but I’m thinking I’ll want the page header on some subsequent pages, so I’m attempting to specify that it’s page-id-4 (which I find when I look at dashboard/pages and roll my cursor over Welcome).
Evidently the “home page” is different, maybe page-id doesn’t work for it?? I’ve tried a lotta class and id strings.
I sent login info in earlier correspondence, do you need it again?
