Running my sites through

I see that images need to be optimized. On our sites we are optimizing all images converting jpgs to progressive etc, makes a difference — but we’re seeing that Google sees our images hosted on i2.wp.com for mobile??? huh??? Presume it is how the theme is responsive w/o a bunch of images being created on my site? But–I’m happy to have images on my site rather than on an unknown site. Can you assist? The site that I’m seeing all these problems with is one that we just ran all png and jpg through a process to optimize but it seems the i2.wp.com site must be working off the older larger ones or is doing it’s own inefficient thing. What can you tell me about this? Thanks!
