logo upload and font queston

I just put together a logo on logo maker.com They offer the logo free for your website and provide the following code to apply to the site:

I’d like to plant this into the heading, but in Theme Options-Main settings they are looking for a media library file to upload. Can this code be used somehow?

FYI, I have a header background in place that I’d like to keep, and also want to still keep my tagline in the header.

Fonts:
I noticed after the last update my fonts restored to the standard. The google fonts I was using do not come up as an option anymore. I’ve decided to limit my choices to the standard font section although it doesn’t offer variety. I think this will keep things simple on the site, and I’ve also read that google fonts may use up more resources? True? Any other advantages to staying with a standard font vs google font?
