how to color h5 on link

hello
i am trying to clolr my h5 on the filter tabs. i cant seem to get it to work on the active for some reason.
this is the code i have
#filters li a.selected, #filters li a:hover, #filters li a:active h5 {color:#fff;}
and it is working on everything but the h5.

can you please tell me what i am doing wrong?
