product categories, wiewing jums back to all on page 2

Hi
We have adjusted our site with lots of new products and categories, and everything seems to bes working great.
BUT
When we click on a category – the first sorting is good, exept it only displays one row of products in stead of a full page…
This results in there being an option to click on page 2 – 3 … etc. for this category
But when one clicks on the page 2 link -the page wiew goes to page 2 for ALL categories – not just the chosen category.
Why?
How can this be fixed?
