Which file drives which content?

Hi Guys

Just a general question. I’m really trying to get to grips with how WordPress works and I continue to use your theme because I find it so powerful.

What I’m discovering though is that I’d like to edit some files (and save them in the child theme of course), but I don’t know which ones do what. For example, I have a section coming from a blog shortcode and I’d like to change the column splits from col-md-5 and col-md-7 to both being col-md-6, however, I’ve no idea which is the right file to edit.

Is there a guide or a easy way of finding out which .php file in your theme delivers which part of a page?

Sorry to have to ask, I hope it isn’t a stupid question.
