Slider last post on home page

Hello,
I am using a static home page and i would like to add a slider with my last post. I would like to include the image, the title and the excerpt (like in the blog). Is it possible to do it with virtue theme or maybe with kadence or revolution slider?
If not do you know a good plugin to do it?
