Not recognising AliExpress categories - Kadence Support Forums

I have an AliExpress affiliate store. I am importing products from. AliExpress via a Eexpresstores plugin which imports the products with their categories. These categories translate directly into the products pages and the categories are displayed in the product details in the dashboard. When I use the categories widget in the theme to display the categories they do not show up and are not picked up by the widget from the product details. This is even though they are definatley visible in the products database. This is a severe issue for me as currently customers cannot view specific categories unless they search for a particular product category via the search tool. It is too impracticle to create new categories within the theme and manually recategorise all of my products. Can you help?
