Duplicate Read More links in Recent Post Home Page

All post 4.4 updated completed, hosted at Just Host, fresh installation, turned off all plugins to test conflicts, reviewed the documentation and settings, searched the forum
On the Recent Posts section at the bottom the excerpts are showing two read more links at the end. Any ideas how to correct that?
