Can't get icons to appear in Primary Nav menu

In the free version of Virtue I was able to set icons for the primary navigation menu by copying the icon name from *Login to see link and pasting the text into the CSS Classes box on the Appearance > Menus page.
Now the icons don’t appear.
What am I doing wrong?
