Vertical alignment in select tag is off

Problem with text vertical alignment in select tag, after installing Virtue theme. I don’t think this was a problem with the old theme.
Example: *Login to see link look at the State and Country dropdowns. The selected text is misaligned.
You may know in a couple of seconds where the problem is. I can’t find it. Please disregard if this is not a fault in your theme.
