Customize Not Loading

In WordPress, under Themes, the “Customize” button for Virtue does not work. I can edit the “Themes” link. I found a really old post that was sort of similar, which suggested that the plugins be deactivated. I did that, and the page got a little bit further in terms of loading, but it still won’t get me to a point where I can edit it. Both wordpress and the theme is updated. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
