Updated to 3.4.5 and the home page duplicated content

I updated my theme to version 3.4.5 and I went to the home page. It appeared as if the content duplicated and there were two home pages on top of each other. The duplicated content on the top did not have a navigation bar. I had to scroll down to see the navigation bar. No other pages were affected. Thankfully I was able to download version 3.4.3, re-install it, and that fixed the problem. Any idea what is causing this?
