Hey, So i’m new to the whole wordpress thing and I’m having trouble uploading the Virtue Premium theme to my wordpress
account/dashboard/server.
I’m using Dreamhost as my server.
I’ve downloaded the premium theme, using safari, zipped the file and then tried to upload it in dashboard>appearance>themes>
upload theme. That didn’t work.
Next I logged into my ftp via dream host, drilled down to hawkwinstonhawk.com>wp-content>themes and tried to upload the unzipped
virtue_premium folder.
That didn’t work either, i get a brief “failed” message before the upload dialog box closes automatically.
Next i created a new folder in my wp-content>themes folder called virtue_premium. I then selected all the files in the
virtue_premium folder from my computer and dragged them into the virtue_premium folder on my ftp.
This seemed to work as all files were present after uploading. I went back to wordpress to dashboard>appearance>themes and saw
that I now had virtue premium in my theme list. However, when I chose to activate the theme I get two error messages…
Warning: require_once(/home/bruboo/hawkwinstonhawk.com/wp-admin) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/bruboo/hawkwinstonhawk.com/wp-content/themes/virtue premium/functions.php on line 6
Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required ” (include_path=’.:/usr/local/lib/php:/usr/local/php5/lib/pear’) in /home/bruboo/hawkwinstonhawk.com/wp-content/themes/virtue premium/functions.php on line 6
I went back into my ftp, to the specified directory and then realised even if I could see what was broken I wouldn’t be able to fix it.
Please help, this looks like it would be an awesome theme and perfect for what I’m doing but I’ve hit a wall and need help!
Cheers, hawkwinstonhawk
