Ultimate Member – login/register page; register button link issue

I am trying to get a response from UM without success as of today. Would you know how to fix this issue?
The login/register page (*Login to see link has a register button that shows register url linked (via Inspect
Element in browser). However, when I click it, it takes me back to login page. Any ideas on how to get the register button to send you to register page?
I would prefer to have just one page initially as is for both login and register on primary nav menu. That way, visitors can easily click register if they are not a member to go to that register page.
I noticed when trying to bounce back and forth from login form to register form pages, I get a redirect, ie. temp.mychoiceconnection.com/login/?redirect_to=*Login to see link But it only sends me to log in page with the problem register button.
Maybe the redirect is the problem???
