Moved to new VPS and issues

Hi,
I moved to a new VPS server on Digital Ocean. I installed SSL certificate. After this I observe three issues
a. Click on Plugins or Themes in admin page takes long time load most of the times (sometimes, it is super fast)
b. Any upload of new plugin takes long time. (old server was less than 30 sec.. .new server takes 3 -4 min)
c. Automatic updates are not happening. I see the Virtue Premium at 3.3.9 still
Doing some research in internet and I see that there some reference of theme being “broken” when installation. Is this a possibility? I want to be sure that this is not a issue and eliminate this possibility.
