Basic Styling Not Working

I have set my Basic Styling to default.css And set the colors to Black. Everything is the blue that came with the theme. I would also like to know how to change the drop down arrow button color from “very” pale gray to something a little darker on my single product pages. I do not have a child theme. So I don’t want to use CSS….
