Revolution Slider Update & troubleshooting

Hello,
I understand that by purchasing the Virtue theme you do not get a code for activating Revolution Slider directly with them so you can’t access all the additional downloads/features, which is OK. I noticed that the Revolution Slider says it is out of date. I have version 5.1.6 and it says the latest is 5.2.2. I can’t find any way to update. I am assuming that it updates with the next full Virtue theme update? Wanted to verify.
The reason I came across this is I am having an issue using the “Hover” feature for a text layer and was hoping an update may be my answer. The hover animation works in preview but it won’t work published. Seems like it should be straightforward and I have all my settings correct but it just isn’t working. I am disappointed that they only allow direct buyers on their support forums.
