image size and box size

Problem 1
How can i make both boxes same height/size? my image is 300×300 pixels.(orange box and image box must be the same)
my box settings are: [kt_box opacity=”1″ padding_top=”50″ padding_bottom=”50″ padding_left=”50″ padding_right=”50″ min_height=”300″ background=”#dd9933″]

also when i hover over my image menu item the orange is larger see screenshot, how can i get it the way orange is only at the image?
