Pinnacle Tabs Shortcode

The tabs are simple and great. However, I cannot figure out how to build a div underneath which outlines the content in each tab. The tabs just kindof hang out in white space and I want to give them a bit more structure.
I’ve tried divs with display: inline-block; and display: flex; but there is a large amount of apparent padding underneath and to the side of the tabs.
Any suggestions?
