Images added to gallery for portfolio disappear

Good day,
Attempting to add a portfolio to my site and proceeding with the “Add New” Portfolio, the images added to the gallery disappear after saving as draft or publishing and nothing seems to be added to the gallery when refreshed. Any solution to this?
