    In reply to: Buttons margin

    #284842

    Hi Ian,

    I inspected the page, and it looks like you are using a Kadence Shop Kit woo template. You can edit that template in WP Admin > Products > Woo Templates.

    You use the Kadence Advanced Button to display the buttons. Please select the entire button block in the template editor and you should see the Button Gap settings – see screenshot: https://share.getcloudapp.com/qGu6bjXb

    Hope this helps, and let me know if you need further assistance.

    Chito

    Hi Ian,

    You are using the Normal page layout and can increase the Content Max Width in Appearance > Customize > General > Layout – see screenshot: https://share.getcloudapp.com/6quJomjk

    As for the top and bottom paddings, you display Hooked Elements and can apply top and bottom paddings by editing them in Appearance > Kadence > Elements.

    The top hooked element has an ID of 254527 and 254303 for the bottom one.

    Hope this helps, and let me know if you need further assistance.

    Best,
    Chito

    Hi Ian,

    The existing top padding/margin comes from the bottom padding in the Advanced Slider from the hooked element with ID of 254527 – see screenshot: https://share.getcloudapp.com/qGu6bPYx

    Edit that hooked element in Appearance > Kadence > Elements and apply bottom padding/margin to the Advanced Slider or Row Layout blocks.

    To customize the page template, go to Appearance > Customize > Posts/Pages Layout > Page Layout.

    Let us know how we can assist further.

    Best,
    Chito

    Hi Kadence Folks,

    I’m using the Kadence Theme for a site but my client wants to display a specific page onto a digital screen that is essentially a TV monitor and it won’t be viewed on any other device, doesn’t need the header or footer (already have turned those off for this page). But we need the page to be a specific width that is different from the site – is this possible? They’ll actually have 7 or 8 pages like this that all have specific dimensions.

    Many thanks in advance!
    Sara

    Hello. I have a custom post type archive page which I would like to exclude certain posts from, but keep them available to be displayed outside the archive page, eg within a posts block. Is there a way to do this through the customiser archive options? Or a snippet I could add to the code snippets plugin with post IDs perhaps? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

    Hi,
    My site page consists of several “Row Layout” with two “Section”. In each row, one section is an image, and the second is text.

    First row: image1 on the left, text1 on the right
    Second row: text2 on the left, picture2 on the right
    Third row: picture3 on the left, text3 on the right
    Fourth row: text4 on the left, picture4 on the right
    And so on. Pretty standard solution.

    It looks the same on desktops and tablets. And on phones, all sections line up vertically in one column. And it turns out like this:
    picture1
    text1
    text2
    picture2
    picture3
    text3
    text4
    picture4

    The question is. Is it possible to swap “Section” inside “Row Layout” depending on resolution? For example, I need to display the following order for phones:
    picture1
    text1
    picture2
    text2
    picture3
    text3
    picture4
    text4

    Hi there,

    Thanks for the link.

    The snackbar from the archive can be disabled in WP Admin > Shop Kit > Snackbar Style Notices – see screenshot: https://share.getcloudapp.com/OAulNdXv

    Currently, AJAX is enabled as well on the single product pages. If you disable it and the WooCommerce notice shows up, you can either create a Shop Kit woo template for single products and don’t add the Product: Notice block – see screenshot: https://share.getcloudapp.com/o0uJO1wn

    Or use a custom CSS code as your last option:
    .single-product .woocommerce-notices-wrapper {display:none}

    Let me know if you need further assistance.

    Best,
    Chito

    Please follow the following steps to create a conditional header for the checkout page:

    • Goto customize –> Header –> Conditional Header
    • Add new conditional header –> Copy default
    • Display settings –> Show On: Single Pages. Check the screenshot: https://share.getcloudapp.com/NQupBpG5
    • Select the page individually
    • From the Current Previewing Header dropdown, select the header to customize
    • Goto header and make changes
    • Publish

    Check the screen recording for reference: https://share.getcloudapp.com/OAulNllR

    Note: Please make sure you have Enable Conditional Header

    Best Regards,
    Archita

    I use Kadence in the free version, so I don’t use conditional headers. I cleared the cache – still the same.

    I reinstalled WP, template and Kadence block. Still the same. The header and footer still look different on the home page than on other pages (mobile version).

    Go to the website from your phone and see how it looks. I don’t understand it.

    Hi

    I want a conditional header for checkout pages with just site logo and payment logos.

    How can I duplicate the main header and then adapt?

    I have created a new extra header in customiser but header but looks like the default formatting and logo disappeared.

    ud/

    Thanks

    I have a logo gallery at the foot of each page but how do I turn off the link to the actual image?

    Hey Ian,

    On which page do you want to hide that message? Can you please provide a link, so we can see your setup?

    Another way is using the AJAX function and popout cart – here’s a video for reference: https://share.getcloudapp.com/4guXWyGN

    You need the Kadence Pro plugin for this and enable the “WooCommerce Addons” setting in Appearance > Kadence – see screenshot: https://share.getcloudapp.com/QwuwXKzj

    I have a static home page with a limited number of “Latest Posts” showing. But as there is no way to get from the last of those posts to the earlier one, I plan to put a top link to a blog. But I can’t figure out how to configure a blog page that will the most current posts automatically showing when posted with page numbers at the bottom to reach earlier posts. All the research I’ve done says I have to use “post grid/carousel” for this. But the free version of Kadence DOESN’T HAVE post grid/carousel. Obviously, most blogging sites need to make a blog page. So how the heck do I set up a blog page without this block?

    TIA
    Donna

    I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to bring to your attention a critical problem that I have been facing for the past four months. Unfortunately, despite my best efforts, I have been unable to resolve it on my own, and it is significantly affecting my ability to update a specific type of content on my website.

    The problem revolves around the Kadence Block plugin. Whenever I attempt to update an existing commercial article using the WordPress editor, the edit page fails to load properly. As a result, I have been unable to update my commercial articles for the last four months, causing considerable frustration and hampering the growth of my website.

    To troubleshoot the issue, I initially suspected that conflicting plugins might be the cause. Consequently, I took the time to deactivate all other plugins, leaving only the Kadence Block plugin active. Despite this effort, the problem persisted, confirming my belief that the issue does not stem from conflicts with other plugins.

    In a further attempt to isolate the problem, I disabled the Kadence Block plugin entirely and then attempted to edit my commercial article again. Surprisingly, with the Kadence Block plugin deactivated, the edit page worked flawlessly. This finding left me certain that the Kadence Block plugin is the root cause of the persistent issue.

    It is essential to note that this problem is exclusively specific to commercial articles on my website. When editing informational articles, I do not encounter any similar issues, demonstrating that the problem is isolated to the commercial article category.

    Given the significance of this problem and its prolonged duration, I am kindly requesting the expertise and support of the Kadence team to help resolve the issue. As the Kadence Block plugin is a vital part of my website’s functionality and design, I am eager to find a solution that will allow me to continue using it without disruption.

    I would greatly appreciate any assistance you can provide in diagnosing and resolving this matter. Please let me know if there are any specific steps or information you require from my end to aid in the investigation.

    Thank you for your attention and prompt assistance. I am looking forward to hearing back from you and finally resolving this issue.

    Hey Bonn, that worked great! Just one more page where it didn’t change it which was the blog page.

    Hi Karim,

    There is no built-in function to change the author link, but you can do this by adding custom code using code snippets plugin: https://kadence-theme.com/knowledge-base/advanced/how-to-add-a-custom-filter-or-function-with-code-snippets/

    Here is the code:

    add_filter( 'author_link', 'modify_author_link', 10, 1 );

    function modify_author_link( $link ) {
        $link = 'https://example.com/about/';
    	return $link;
    }

    Just change the code and add your correct about page url.

    See if it works for you.
