Hi Hannah & Ben –
Three questions:

1. How do I change the image on my home page?

2. How come my home page does not show in the “All/Pages” of my dashboard?

3. When I open my dashboard a message asks me to “activate my License Key.” I have followed he instructions to activate it several times. And still get the message. How Come? What’s wrong here?

I would like to add a title tag to the thumbnail icon between the next and previous arrows so that it’s clear that this takes you back to the main portfolio page as it is confusing for users when we did the testing. Especially since the arrows have title tags.

I added the title tag to the single portfolio page, line 21, as a test with the intentions of moving the edited page into a child theme to preserve the changes. But his does not add the title tag.

Is there a quick fix to the code add the title tag to make the navigation more clear?

I took out the H2 lines of code and totally destroyed all that was there. I will have to rebuild the entire page now. I really like the staggered look that your “Staggered” template offered. I will try again. It would be nice to consult with the designer that created the “Staggered” template.

I am having an issue website I am building for a client. Everything works great except for the Blog Page and the Post Page. How do I get the Old Paper into the content background and side bar so it looks like the other pages?

This is a hunting website, and I do not want to post a link to the website without your approval first or if there is another way to contact you with a link so you can see the issue I am having

Thanks for the correction Ben. I think I didn’t explain myself very well. My experience with WP via Go Daddy and Lunarpages is that the standard WP setting via those hosts are 2 mb but can be easily increased by just calling them, which I did. My file size upload capability now is >100mb.

Regarding child theme, I use plug in One Click Child Theme to create a child from any theme I use. I do change theme files on occasion. In fact, you have helped me on several occasions. So a child theme works for me most of the time. That plug in has worked well for me. And when the parent theme is updated, it will update the child as well without removing any changes/additions I made. At least that has been my experience with that plug in. I await to learn more about your additional offerings. Thanks.

In Theme Options> Advanced Styling, you can set the Main Content color to effect the entire page.

if you want to set a color for only the background of that carousel, then you can do that using CSS like this:

.home-product {
    background: red;
}

Just place that into Theme Options> Advanced Settings, and be sure to change the “red” to whatever color you need for your site.

Ben, I was trying to upload via WP which has a 2mb limit for files no matter what host your are using. But I think I can use FTP (Filezilla) to paste it in. Called Lunarpages and they changed limit from standard 2mb to >100mb. I was able to install Virtue Premium.

Now, my question is about your statement “This will have a new child theme some extra plugins and will be a once per year cost. There will be a discount offered for anyone who has purchased a theme from us.” I have usually used a child theme plug in that automatically and safely transfers updates from original without losing layout and content. Are you now offering a child theme for themes at an annual fixed rate?

So you’re trying to effect the quantity within the cart page? Try this CSS:

.woocommerce .quantity input.qty {
    width: 90px;
}

.shop_table .product-quantity .quantity {
    width: 90px;
}

As for that error, where are you seeing this? What changes did you make before it appeared? Have you edited any theme files directly?

Hello Jean Pierre,

I’m seeing a lot of differences between the two sites. The content on the new one is overflowing to the right in many places, giving the page an odd layout in mobile.

Do you have a plugin that’s effecting the page or any custom CSS that you’ve added?

Hi Ben,

Can see this is an old post but my topic is the same.

Having troubles with the wordpress importer, seems like its not updated for the latest version of WP….BUT looks like I’ve managed to import something.

But my questions is how do I create the slider? What are the settings, picture size etc? After importing the site style four is looks like the slider is a revolution slider but in the tutorial (https://www.kadencewp.com/creating-demo-layout/) it says that its a Kadence slider.

My page is for now a test page to learn how to design a new version of my real page – hope you can help.
