    Hi Ben, thanks for the advice.
    w3 total cache helped great deal with page loading time, but still Gmetrix recommends:

    “Defer parsing of JavaScript
    F (30)
    What’s this mean?
    402.4KiB of JavaScript is parsed during initial page load. Defer parsing JavaScript to reduce blocking of page rendering.

    http://forestharp.com/wp-content/cache/minify/000000/M9bPKixNLarUMYYydHMz04sSS1IB.js (99.1KiB)
    http://forestharp.com/ (3.1KiB of inline JavaScript)

    After day of research I came to the conclusion that most commonly advised solution is:
    – move external CSS and scripts to the bottom of the page in functions.php
    – place macro

    <!– W3TC-include-css –>

    in footer.php

    But given I work with VP child theme I’m confused what should be in these two brand new functions.php and footer.php files, DIY method didn’t work.

    Can you recommend?

    Hi Ben,

    We had this same problem about a year ago–and fixed it–but can’t recall what the fix really was. We have some custom posts on our site called “store” for each of our sellers in our multivendor marketplace. The problem is with the primary sidebar for the theme. It shows up in the right side of these store pages and it (along with perhaps something else) forces our posts to be smooshed over to the left side of the page. We had this problem back a year ago and we somehow dealt with it–as I recall, the primary sidebar ended up (empty) wrapped around on the bottom of the custom posts content, then we did something that took care of the problem but for the life of me I don’t recall what it was. Right now the content being smooshed over to the left just doesn’t work on these custom posts.

    Anyway-can you assist with this?

    Since the primary sidebar is always empty as far as how we use it, can/should we not even have it? Does the Kadence theme use it in some way? Any other insights would be helpful.

    Example of a custom post–

    my homepage is a page that i previously created with page builder…

    one of the parts is a rich editor text widget that shows all the categories with the image and number of products, i used for it this short code:

    [product_categories number=”12″ parent=”0″ columns=”3″]

    when i click on one of the thumbnails it brings me to that category with all the products… what i would like to know if i can force that when i click on one determinate thumbnail it brings me to a previously created page not where it directs me now…

    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
    I have the Latest Blog Posts showing on my home page. Is there a way to show a certain number at first, but give the user the option to load more posts onto the home page?

    Hello Ben,
    Thank you for your help. I forgot to answer your question about the shortcode – yes, I have tried the shortcode, but it unfortunately didn’t do what I wanted it to.
    I’ve taken my php file with my form for the search bar and saved that into my child theme as front-page.php and it works wonderfully!

    Thank you so much for your advice. I’ll mark this matter as resolved.

    Hello all and thanks for the support. (my site: )

    I sometimes have to show tables in my pages, but cannot make them look good, my question is:

    Does the Virtue theme have a recommended css style for tables (to make them fit in shape and colors with the theme), and how to apply it?

    The idea is that the tables and borders do not look like this:

    Hello –

    I am using Stripe as the primary payment processor on my site, however I would like to add PayPal Express to see if it helps or hurts conversion rates. However the PayPal Express button is sitting on top of the “Proceed To Checkout” button on the cart.

    Is there any way to change the payment option layout on the cart page so it’s not sitting on top of that button? I am not a coder and I don’t want to break anything….but if you tell me where to make the edit I can do that.

    Also, would it be possible to include text somewhere that explains the options to people? For example, put “Checkout quickly via Stripe” in the orange button, then some text below that reading “Or use PayPal Express Checkout” and then have the PayPal button appear below that?

    Thanks for your help.

    Hi,

    I just noticed my media galleries are showing up totally white when published. I can’t figure out what might have happened and whether this is WordPress or Virtue. They’re still there because you can click on the area and they pop up, but otherwise it looks like a giant white space. Here’s an example:

    Thanks!

    Hi,

    we use the feature virtue_premium-product_radio (that is, on product pages radio buttons are used instead of a dropdown) for variable products. I think it is much better because the users sees whats available at a glance. So far, very well.

    Unfortuantely, it seems like for WooCommerce Subscriptions ( this is not working. I just purchased the Subscriptions plugin and the dropdown is always shown despite the setting that I prefer the radio buttons.

    Anything to get the radio buttons also for Variable Subscriptions?

    I have uploaded the demo content 4. I see there are blue mountains in a parallax background in this versions landing page. I have looked and looked and cannot find the access to change the image.
    When I follow directions to to adding a background to “Like What You See” it lays an image over the mountain scene. (It is not the same size so it doesn’t cover it.
    Here is the link to the demo I am talking about:

    The portion I am talking about is about halfway down the page.

    Hi there,
    I have a background picture on my site, http://www.cultureweave.com, placed there under Theme Options => advanced styling. I’d like to keep that picture there, but I find on the post pages, where people can comment, you cannot read the comments easily because of the picture. So, my question is this: Is there a piece of code I could put in custom css to either (1) make the background picture show up on all pages of the site except the post pages? OR (2) specify the (entire) comment area on the post pages to have a white background? (I prefer #2.) I am using the Disqus plug-in for comments. Thought maybe I could work through them, but they do not have any appearance settings.
    Thanks for your great help!

    Thanks guys, I was able to find the culprit for both issues, it was the maintenance page plug in.

    Be well,

    No when I was having trouble last week with the slider displaying the text all jumbled when I tried to use the full height and width setting. I thought he said he went in and did something for to make the slider work better in page builder I believe there are notes in one of the posts from him. I did not add pagebuilder plugin.

    #105569

    Kevin set up the pagebuilder plugin?

    Ben

    #105564

    Hey,

    Yes of course there is a featured image option.

    In your post edit page click “screen options” on the top right corner if you don’t see the featured image option.
    http://docs.kadencethemes.com/virtue-premium/blog-posts/

    Please can you clarify for me what your wanting. You seemed to start by wanting the same image now are you wanting a different image per post?

    Hey Jamie, Please post in your own topic. For a new question.

    You would need to do something like this:

    .page-header h1 {
    font-size:0;
    line-height:0;
    }

    Ben
