Hey,
1. I’m seeing custom css added that is affecting the h1 tag including adding the margin and padding… Can you look in your custom css box for both the theme and for jetpack and make sure you have not added any custom css.

2. Best if you download one of the child themes from the page I linked to.. you custom css box is only for adding css you can’t create a child theme in it. A child theme has it’s own folder in your themes folder on the server.

You can download the example child theme and upload it to your site like it’s another theme, that should clear up some confusion.

If your wanting to use areas twice everything that’s in the manager can be built using pagebuilder so all you really need to enable is “page content” and you can build a custom page entirely with pagebuilder. This of all the other options as a bonus way to add stuff for ease.

In theme options > home layout > home layout manager they give you a handfull of components to pick from for your homepage design. For some reason It wont let me pick the Homewidget Area twice, it wont let me pick anything twice.

Hey,
Most hook into a page the same way and if you’re using pagebuilder you will likely have to add the shortcode to show the sharing options. I personally haven’t tried to find one that automated with pagebuilder.

Hi all,

One additional question – can I adjust this code so that the content on the page is in the center of the page? Basically I want margins on each side, with the text in the center. If I use a css to create margins instead, this makes the text really hard to read on mobile, so this maximum width code is better. Just need it to be in the center of the page.

Which is what I’m telling you not to do.

So if you can see in the settings > reading that it’s not that way then you may have caching? Are you using a caching plugin?

my site is *Login to see link and i was wondering if it were possible to make 2 images parallax at different speeds.

where i am wanting to do this is on the home page, where you see the lady standing in front of the house. I thought it would be cool to make 2 images (one of the house, and one of the lady) and when you scroll down, make the image of the house scroll a little slower than the image of the lady. I thought it would give it a cool depth of field feel..

I know this question is a bit far fetched, but I thought it would be worth a shot to ask.. either way, thank you for your time.

Hi Hannah,

Hope all’s good with you guys.

I have a couple more questions. On the aforementioned box titles, I would like to change the opacity of the block and the colour of the headings. Is there any custom CSS for this I wonder?

Then another question. When I insert a picture into a post or page ranged left with text wrap, the image doesn’t quite line up with the top on the text and the left hand edge. I’m guessing this is something to do with cell padding but not sure where I can fix this?

When on my checkout page, i have the option to chose between 2 different shipping classes. I can choose “free shipping” or “shipping for 6,99.
It is, that customers get free shipping, when they buy for more than xx euros. But when they then are about to buy for xxx euros, they still have the opportunity to pay for the shipping even though its free. How can i disable this option?
I hope you understand what i mean :p Here is a photo that also explains it:

Hey Richard,
You can edit those buttons with css like this:

.car-repairs button {
    background: #999;
    height: 75px;
    width: 300px;
}

In the future you can add buttons with popup links via page builder by using the Visual Editor widget and adding the Modal shortcode through the Virtue Shortcodes tab.
