Hi,

I’m playing around with the css of my header menu here: *Login to see link

I only have an option to reduce the menu height to 60px in the Theme Options but I want to lower it to 40px.

Also, I’ve set the navigation to run across under the topbar, is there some css I can use to make this automatically scale to the width of the page? (Up until the point it switches to the normal mobile layout)

Hi,

I have a problem with one delivery plugin on my checkout page.

The company who made the plugin especially for woocommerce and wordpress say that this is the first time they have encountered such a problem. Apparently there is a script on line 666 that enters the HTML of the whole page before the html for the rest of the page starts.
Because of that there are duplicats of the delivery metods and since jQuery renews only one of them (the first one) then the result is that the unvisible part is renewed correctly but the visible part is not.

What can we do about this? They are saying that this is not correct and should be removed or if that is not possible then use $(‘body’).append instead of $(‘body’).prepend.

Thanks for the quick reply Hannah. That does change the entire background color for the home background, however, I was looking to just set the background color behind the icon menu section of the home page (similar to “how the call to action”, colors just it’s area). If I could do this to either the icon menu section or the image menu section, it would give me a lot more control over the look of the home page. I’m just not sure if this is possible?

It seems my understanding of CSS is more limited than I thought… Let’s see if I understand this correctly. FYI: I use anchors in both places: in plain text and in accordions.

If there’s an anchor on a page, you can link to that anchor via:
– a link on the same page
– a link in the menu
– a link on another page
Where you link from matters for it’s behaviour.

Code 1:

This code opens the accordion tab and navigates to the text inside it. This now opens the right acc. tab, closes all others and shows the text neatly positioned on the top of the screen, hiding the title box behind the menu. How far the page scrolls to show the text in the accordion tab is not set by this piece of code.

It does break the functionality of the accordion tab as such: When the browser is at http://www.domain.nl/ terms-conditions/#collapse11 the tab “Terms & Conditions” is opened. If I now click the tab “House rules”, that tab opens, but T&C doesn’t close.
If the browser is at http://www.domain.nl/ terms-conditions/ the accordion tab works without problems.

The accordion shortcodes that comes with the Virtue Theme is not displayed corrected if it is placed inside the Page Builder’s SiteOrigin Editor Widget. It works fine in a plain text or TinyMCE widget.

This is more of a report, since I have a workaround — using TinyMCE. But if Virtue Shortcodes don’t work well with SiteOrigin Editor, I will just stick to TinyMCE in the future.

Because you are targeting the panel to open as well an anchor it has to be the text in the panel not the panel title.

This part of the code runs the scroll for when you link to a different page with an anchor link

jQuery.localScroll.hash({offset: -90});});

So if your only doing that with the accordion then you can change that and not the scroll that would be part of your menu.

THanks for the response Ben. I’m sure that plugin solves my problem. When clicking on the category tab “Pieces” on https://holdsterit.com/shop/ the products only appear on page two. And when you click page two it takes you back to the “All” products.

Hey,

1. Ok to be clear child themes see here: https://www.kadencewp.com/child-themes/
If you don’t know coding then you would need to hire someone to do this and add extra fields.

2. In your apperance > menus page you can add categories to the menu by clicking “screen options” in the top right corner and adding categories.

3. What version of IE?

4(1). Theme options > language settings.
5(2). ^ same.
6(3). That would require you edit the plugin woocommerce. You would have to edit their file directly to change text like that.
7(4). You can add text in a text widget using the topbar widget area… enabled in your theme options > topbar settings.

8(1). I don’t have a recommendation for this. Might be worth asking woocommerce.
9(2). For that you would need a shipping system that handled labels or did all your shipping through a third party system like ship station. That isn’t something I can recommend, to many variables you need to see what makes the most sense for you at a price you’re willing to pay. There are manual entry optijons through:
