Have been using kadence blocks in wordpress to build my first ever site. I completed my contact form using kadence blocks, but have been having a bit of trouble with the email verification. If someone fills in the wrong email then I probably won’t find them since I don’t have the phone number or organisation they work with as a required field (since it is for job applications so people will probably not want to be called but much rather be sent an email). Now I am using an email field but this doesn’t do much (for instance I can do [email protected] and it will still send the email). Is there a way for me to verify if the email is real (having a second ‘confirm your email’ is of no use since most people will just be copy pasting the first one and it is more of a hassle)? All the verification plugins only work for other themes like elementor or for fluent forms or contact form 7, they don’t provide the custimization which I use with kadence for all pages so using them isn’t an option. Gemini gave me some code options but since I know almost nothing of code I didn’t just wanna randomly copy paste it since ai can be wrong sometimes. Any help would be greatly appreciated 🙂

The Kadence Form and Advanced Form blocks use the wp_mail() function to send emails triggered by the *_after_submit actions.

According the the codex, wp_mail() supports comma-separated email addresses for any of the “to:”, “cc:”, or “bcc:” values.

In both versions of the form blocks, the “cc” field is processed by WordPress’s sanitize_email() function. The sanitize_email function is only intended to sanitize a single email address.

This causes Kadence Blocks to sanitize a comma-separated list of recipients into a single, formatted email address like so:

$email_list = "[email protected], [email protected], [email protected]";

echo sanitize_email( $email_list ); // "[email protected]"

Oddly enough, the values in the “Send Email To:”, “Cc:”, and “Bcc:” fields all receive inconsistent treatment from one another in Kadence Blocks. See below:

Send Email To: accepts any trimmed value without using sanitize_email()
Cc: processes the trimmed value with sanitize_email()
Bcc: parses the trimmed value with explode(‘,’, $recipient) and processes each entry with sanitize_email()

This is a strange oversight, considering the “Cc” and “Bcc” values are processed less than 10 lines apart (on the basic form).

Here are the relevant lines:

It’s pretty surprising that this issue hasn’t been brought up yet, given that it’s quite common to CC multiple recipients on business contact forms… we speculate that this issue is widespread – but most users assume it’s working properly since nothing else breaks, no errors are presented, and the other recipient settings work as intended. We identified the issue after a client insisted that they haven’t been receiving notifications from their contact forms, despite ruling out everything else from spam-filtering to DNS problems.

To change the recipient email for the contact form in Kadence, follow these steps:

In your WordPress dashboard, go to Kadence > Theme Options.
Scroll down to the Contact Form section (if using Kadence’s built-in form).
Here, you can set the “To” email address where form submissions will be sent. Enter the new email address you want the form submissions to be sent to.
Save the changes.
If you are using a plugin like WPForms or Contact Form 7, you will need to adjust the recipient email settings within the plugin’s settings, typically under Forms > Edit > Notifications.

Since the Kadence’s Form block does not work with dynamic data, I have been trying to use CF7 along with the Contact Form 7 – Dynamic Text Extension, however the rendering is not occurring like it should. I contacted the developer of Dynamic Text Extension and they confirmed something with the theme was effecting the way the image should be rendered. I tired both a conversion popup and a modal popup. Please review the following links with your team. Thank you for your help.

For overriding WooCommerce templates, you can look into our Kadence Shop Kit plugin’s Product Templates feature. We have an introduction post here – https://www.kadencewp.com/help-center/docs/kadence-shop-kit/shop-kit-2-0-building-a-product-template/

With this feature, you can replace the add to cart button with a Modal block so you can show a form for enquiry.

“On the Enquire form we want to display the [main product image] from woo, and importantly on the email being sent we want the [main product image] to be in the email with title.”

This all depends with the plugin that you’ll use for the form. I don’t think there is a way to edit a Contact Form 7 form to use blocks so you might need to do some custom coding to show the current Woo product image within the form and the email notification.

Tested in Chrome and Firefox.

The problem appears after about 20-40 minutes of active editing of site pages (editing-saving-editing-saving, opening and closing site pages, etc.).

At some point, the site stops responding to saving the page (Update button). The button is pressed, becomes inactive and that’s it, the saving itself does not happen… If I then reload the browser page, it does not reload (the browser reload “wheel” spins endlessly). The buttons in the WordPress admin panel are also not clickable. The only thing that helps is closing the browser completely and opening it again.

The problem goes away if I disable the Yoast SEO plugin.

ps I discovered this problem about 3-4 weeks ago. There was no time to write everything.

The button is pressed, becomes inactive and that’s it, the saving itself does not happen… If I then reload the browser page, it does not reload (the browser reload “wheel” spins endlessly). The buttons in the WordPress admin panel are also not clickable. The only thing that helps is closing the browser completely and opening it again.

The problem goes away if I disable the Yoast SEO plugin.

ps I discovered this problem about 3-4 weeks ago. There was no time to write everything.

I contacted WordPress Support regarding this, as I wasn’t originally aware that I could contact Kadence directly. The Support Rep at WordPress informed me that the recent update resulted in my both of my ‘Blog Post’ blocks losing their associated featured images due to the height being set to 0 (image attached).

So, the rep gave me the following additional CSS to add in order to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, now, there’s a substantial gap in between my images and their associated titles/excerpts (image attached).

You can see the large gap between the editor and the live page.

Any help here would be appreciated.

Unfortunately, I’ve been building WP websites way before Gutenberg Blocks or any Blocks so I prefer Classic editor.

Yes, the Contact Form 7 states this under the email address:

!(configuration error) Sender email address does not belong to the site domain.

Anyway, I installed WPForms and this looks like it’ll work for now. Thank you for the recommendation.

Hi Kathy,
Thanks for reaching out. The Virtue contact form is meant to be basic. We do not have plan of implementing more features to it at this point.
If you’re using the Gutenberg editor then I suggest using the Form block from Kadence Blocks. If not, WP Forms is a good solution. Or Contact Form 7. From my understanding you can enter any email as the recipient. It does not need to be an email from the domain name. Are you experiencing differently?

Thanks for the link.

I did some troubleshooting and it looks like the issue comes from AntiSpam for Contact Form 7 plugin.

It will look okay if you deactivate it.

I suggest you contact the developer of that plugin, maybe there are some settings you need to change.

Can someone tell me if any free template or theme achieves a score of 100 or greater than 95 in performance in page speed insight once the site or page is finished with basic plugins such as google analytics, gravity forms contact forms, floating button for whatsapp? .

The template I use (web agency) when installing its value is 90 but as soon as I include some plugins the value drops too much (average performance of 75) and no matter how much I change plugins or install plugins to improve performance I can’t even get it to 90

If anyone has any suggestions to be able to implement a floating button that includes a button for calls and whatsapp that does not affect performance so much.

My knowledge in the creation of pages is minimal, it is my first time that I am making my page and I do not have technical knowledge either.
